Our Corporate Social Responsibility

Our mission We believe our beautiful events should never come at the expense of our beautiful planet, and we’re on a mission to do everything in our power to reuse, recycle and reduce waste to ensure our footprint is as green as it can be. As individuals and as team Plain Jane we’re also on a mission to be even more socially conscious and as part of our CSR strategy, we select monthly charities to champion, donate to and shout about, following our quarterly themes: Homelessness & poverty | Social Justice & Humanity | Our Planet & Animals |Physical & Mental Health

More ethical events When it comes to props we’ll always try to hire before we buy, and reuse, recycle or donate them when we’re done. We’ll always favour renewable energy sources, like biodiesel generators, and plan to use even more local suppliers to keep emissions low. Being zero to landfill is in our sights, and we’re working towards our ISO20121 - which is a big deal in sustainable events management!

Small Steps Project Alex, our Founder and Director, is proud to be a trustee of this remarkable charity, which cares for children living on rubbish dumps around the world. We’re privileged to provide their wonderful team with pro bono events support, as well as donations towards emergency aid, food and shoes.See our Instagram for more information about how we’ve been supporting them.

Trees for Cities For every flower wall, stage and wild installation we create, we’ll plant it right back, with the help of this wonderful organisation that’s cultivating real change in our communities.

Office Efforts We’ve ousted single-use plastic and we’re well on our way to being 100% paperless. In the meantime we’re committed to recycling all paper, and we’re among the few Soho residents recycling our food waste too.
