Amazon’s summer party in Haggerston Park looked back over their last 20 years in the UK by celebrating the late 90’s in style. Hotdogs, mac & cheese and Mr Whippy ice cream from the food stalls went down a treat, while yoyo tricksters and hula hoopers roamed the crowds.
The old-school gaming arcade was packed from start to finish with people eager to show off their N64 Mario Kart skills. The helter skelter and the foosball tables in the ’98 world cup bar were enjoyed by kids and adults alike, and the more creative crowds flocked to the make lounge to fashion headbands from fluffy pom poms, flowers and mini trolls.
A 90’s musical bingo session got the crowds in the mood to party like it was 1998: Guests relaxing on beanbags and deckchairs around the bandstand sprang to their feet to join in with the Spice Girls and Britney Spears tribute acts. Live bands played all the 90’s covers you can imagine, and the three 90’s genres in the silent disco went down so well that guests didn’t want to stop dancing…
