Trinity Buoy Wharf
6 barels of beer drunk in an afternoon
We were introduced to First Capital via the fabulous caterer Tasting Plates to help plan a corporate summer party, to follow their AGM. With the meeting near Canary Wharf the client chose Trinity Buoy Wharf for the party, with views over the Thames and the Millennial Dome.
Taking advantage of the warmer July weather we decided to hold the reception on the terrace area in front of the Chain Store. The client had asked us to incorporate a pub with beer on tap and a sports bar showing the football as it was during the World Cup, so we set up two marquees opposite each other and provided furniture, AV, bars and barrels of beer from local brewery’s.
Guests arrived by red Double Decker bus and after the craft beer and a football catch-up they made their way into the Chain Store for a seated lunch. Tasting Plates served a family style sharing platters with roasted lamb from the BBQ and an array of delicious sides. We setup long wooden trestle tables for the guests’ informal lunch dressed simply with potted herbs down the centre.
After lunch guests moved back out onto the terrace and carried on drinking and chatting into the night, with the London skyline coming to life before their eyes.
